NHS White Paper Challenges
Increasingly we are asked to provide an interim management service agreement for the period to 2012-13 to ensure that during the transition period the local health infrastructure is fit for purpose.
We are experts in understanding your estate.
We have the in-house skills and technologies in place to manage and monitor estate condition and utilisation and support commissioners of services to maintain a ‘fit for purpose’ estate whilst identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost savings. To achieve this we utilise HOST, a secure web-based estate support function which provides public and private healthcare and community services commissioners with a strategic, integrated, up-to-date, accurate dataset of existing and future estate/resource capacity and the ability to scenario test and forecast.
We believe our role is to provide Choices. Responsible, expert, appropriate, sensitive Choices that support your estate objectives.
Our HOST service includes a range of estate service Choices we can offer to enable you to understand your estate better and strategically plan to meet local efficiency targets and the changing government policy direction.

HOST
‘Hosting’ means that the commissioner provides the infrastructure, assuring quality, local access and availability and procures the services for each locality. This approach will promote an integrated method to both commissioning and service improvement and delivery. It is important to note at this stage however, that NHS bodies will need to develop a more inclusive approach from now on to ensure that the focus moves from purely healthcare, to healthcare, social care and well being.
Our HOST service can not only provide extensive property management information on each linked property/land but also provides information on walking/drive-times and location mapping, current/potential usage, costs associated with both human resource and physical usage and both live and historical utility / carbon usage.
HOST Utilisation Demo
The HOST service aims to provide the most effective and efficient way of utilising healthcare and community facilities for the benefit of the local community. This is achieved by enabling a greater understanding of the existing estate and resources already and potentially available.
HOST allows for detailed assessment of a commissioner’s individual properties and overall estate, including individual room type and number.
It also allows the user to have an overview of the detailed room information such as equipment available, service specialties that can be undertaken in that room and what services are currently undertaken in that room, inclusive of the frequency of sessions.
This depth and breadth of information enables users to analyse the potential capacity of the facilities within a property / estate and the actual utilisation being attained at individual sites or on an estate-wide basis.
