Stoke and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue
Blue Sky Design Services, Equity Solutions’ full architectural, environmental, engineering and healthcare consultancy, is part of the successful consortium for the design of 10 new Community Fire Stations procured under a Private Finance Initiative for Stoke and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority.
Our designs realise the client’s aspirations and vision for 21st century community fire stations that combine functional efficiency with flexible multi-use spaces for community use in a sustainable way.
The contemporary solutions discard the traditional red doors of a fire station but the strong shapes and lines express a readiness to respond, whilst at the same time, through open environments, create a shared ownership with the communities they serve.
The metal façade system with transparent curtain walling to the public areas has been selected to provide the right balance between robustness and ease of maintenance and the provision of high quality appropriate for public buildings.
