Royton Health and Wellbeing Centre
The replacement for Royton health centre brings together a number of health and wellbeing services under one roof and provides a one-stop facility for around 20,000 patients.
The new centre is located close to Royton town centre behind the existing Town Hall and library.
The new three storey building provides a range of services, including:
- Self-care – information, advice and support to help people keep fit and well
- Two GP practices
- Pharmacy
- Community nursing teams
- Dental surgery
- Specialist services such as orthoptics, podiatry, audiology and minor surgery
- Office space
Construction commenced in March 2009 and the centre opened to the public on 5th October 2010.
