Oldham Schools PFI
North Consulting, a specialist project finance consultancy and part of the Equity Solutions Group, provided lead and financial advisory services for Oldham’s Secondary Schools PFI Outline Business Case development.
The project involved reviewing the options for two new secondary schools in Failsworth and Radclyffe. Both were split site schools with the aim to re-provide existing premises with state-of-the-art new build schools on single sites. The outline business case justified the financial and educational need for the £54m PFI credits required to replace the two other schools.
With the contract advertised in June 2003, appointement of North Consulting in September 2003 and the Outline Business Case submitted in March 2004, this was a very rapid completion for a PFI project.
