Oldham Integrated Care Centre

The Integrated Care Centre (ICC) in Oldham town centre is a significant flagship health and social care development for the Oldham Borough.
Opened in November 2009 and located in the centre of Oldham, adjacent to the main bus station it provides easy access for both staff and patients.
The development is over ten floors and includes the following services:
- Self-care – information, advice and support to help people keep fit and well
- Urgent care centre – open 24 hours
- Primary care services including five GP practices, dental services and pharmacy services
- Diagnostics/integrated clinical assessment and treatment services (ICATS) and other services traditionally found in hospital
- A range of specialist community health services including audiology, podiatry, physiotherapy, community nursing, occupational therapy, orthoptics and speech therapy
- Meeting rooms, information points and a café
The ICC is one of the largest primary care facilities delivered by LIFT in the UK and represents a huge step change in health and community care services moving out of acute hospital settings and being delivered closer to the community it serves.
The centre brings services together under one roof which have never been offered in one place before in Oldham and enables people to have access to diagnostic testing and emergency treatment without having to go to hospital.
This flagship development acts as a central hub, providing healthcare services for the entire Oldham borough and will have a huge catalytic impact on the regeneration of the Oldham town centre.
Community 1st Oldham, where Equity Solutions is the local LIFT partner, worked with J21 – Oldham & Rochdale Local Labour in Construction Initiative on the flagship development as the first LIFT development to apply the principles laid down in the J21 construction charter and Local Labour Agreements.
The Integrated Care Centre is adjacent to the central bus station and the Civic Centre next to St Mary’s Way.
