Planning application submitted for long awaited health centre

Plans for a long awaited health facility in Praze-an-Beeble have taken a positive step forward this week with the submission of a planning application to Kerrier District Council. The submission for planning consent follows a period of ongoing consultation with GPs, staff and the local community. An encouraging 92% of those who attended the recent public awareness events provided positive feedback on the proposals for a new facility which were described as excellent and well thought out for needs of patients". The proposed development, developed as part of the NHS LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) initiative in Cornwall by the countys LIFTco, Community 1st Cornwall Limited, will replace the existing unsuitable GP accommodation at Praze-an-Beeble.  Mike Lincoln, Acting Director of Finance, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly PCT said; This is a long awaited and much needed development. We very much hope that early approval can be given to the planning application in order that building can commence as soon as possible The plans for the new facility that have been submitted as part of the planning application will be on display in the surgeries at Praze-an-Beeble and Connor Downs.
